The Bail Bond Process – Rush Bail Bonds – Birmingham, Huntsville & Columbiana, AL

After a person is arrested a judge will set the required amount for bail which must be paid in order for the defendant to be released. Instead of paying the full amount a person can utilize a bail bond agency to post a bond, usually at a fee of 10% – 15% of the full bail amount. The bond works as a contract between the court system and the agency ensuring that the defendant appears at all of their scheduled court dates, because if they do not the agency then becomes responsible for paying the entire bail amount. However this cost will fall on the co-signer of the bond, also known as the indemnitor, not the agency, per the bail bond contract.
